Description
This pattern makes an 8-gore, flared skirt ending mid-calf and it has a zipper closure at the waist.
To be clear, this pattern, unlike my others, is not an original design --- the flared shape is based on the hem of a very boxy trumpet skirt I found in a charity shop in Edinburgh. Frankly, I don't know what whatever company that made it was thinking to put such on awesome hem on an otherwise hideous skirt... but I fixed it
. This is easily my favorite skirt ever --- it's fun to wear, chic AND modest so I can wear it just about anywhere, in nearly any weather --- and it's getting worn out from my wearing it so much. I had to make a pattern of it so I can replace it. I wasn't sure whether I should post this one or not. I've read up a bit on copyright and from what I read, it seems to be legal to do so.
One size only: Waist --- 34 inches, Hip --- 42 inches. Sits 2 inches below the true waist and finished, it is 30 inches long.
